Realtime Worlds Loses Some Staff, Still Hiring However
by Brian Leahy, Jul 07, 2010 6:30pm PDTNow that Realtime Worlds has released APB, it will transition into "running APB as a 24/7 online live operation, creating new content and services for the future and ensuring the best possible experience for the players," said CEO Gary Dale to Develop.
As a consequence, a small number of the studio's staff will be let go and the team assigned to an unannounced project will be "downscaled". The company maintains that it will still be hiring, though it is likely that most of these positions will be in support of APB.
Yearly retail expansions are currently planned for APB with additional content released via patches and updates for free.
