Evening Reading

By Brian Leahy, Jul 06, 2010 5:00pm PDT ArmA II continues to impress me, especially when I fail missions only to have the game continue and add objectives to the following mission based upon my utter failure. That's some awesome gameplay right there, folks.

July is a bit of a quiet month for game releases until the end, which brings StarCraft II and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift. Now, you're probably on board for the first one. That's okay, but BB:CS is quite awesome and is a great niche fighting game to play in between streaks of Super Street Fighter IV.

  • How's everyone feeling about the Google News layout changes, after a week?

I've tried my best to take advantage of the new functionality and establish some new habits and not be an obstinate curmudgeon but I just can't. Nothing provided allows me to scan with the ease of the old layout, and I felt like "personalization" was working against me.

Apparently U.S. folks can partially restore the old layout by going to Canada's page and replacing all the Canadian sections with their U.S. equivalents, but that's just dumb on principle and I'm sure it won't last anyway.
