If you've ever wanted to explore space and didn't have the $20 million to make the trip yourself, we've got some good news. Moonbase Alpha, a NASA-sponsored educational "exploration game" developed by The Army Game Studio and Virtual Heroes, is now available on Steam for the low, low price of free.

Using latest in NASA technology in multiple scenarios in gameplay for up to six players, Moonbase Alpha hopes to educate players while also proving, once and for all, that the moon is not made of cheese.

It's because they aren't douchbags in real life and it's the best way for them to act like one without affecting anyone. In reality they're being douchebags to themselves.
