        I would buy the game for 9.99. If you must buy it now I think the THQ pack is the way to go.

        I have most of the games in that pack already so it isn't a better deal. If I could gift the extras I would.

        It's an amazing deal, but even though it includes other great games, it still doesn't feel right to spend twice more to "save" more...

      I'm loving it. It's a great non-open world game, which is a nice breath of fresh air lately

      Awesome game, heavy on the atmosphere, worth it.

      Am I the only one that was un-excited by Metro 2033? Tried it at a friends place and later watched him play right up until the end. Was kinda relieved I hadn't pre-ordered the SE for 30€, which was like half of the 55€ he paid for the standard edition (reason: he didn't want to wait 2 days for delivery).

      I didn't expect much, and subsequently got not much in return. Felt like a standard Doom 3 clone with Stalker setting swapped in. Slow movement, thick atmosphere in some places, but basically you'll see the action coming from a mile away. Fast enemies that are a pain to dispose of. Think bullet sponge. The ammo system is nice on paper, but in reality underused. Gas masks and the filter distribution can lead to dead ends and borked saves where you inevitably die. Checkpoint systems only and very tightly scripted.

      It's probably worth the $25 if you're looking to play it *right now*. If you've got a backlog that reaches till Christmas 2013 like some of us have, then wait for the inevitable $10-sale. I'll wait and give it another go for sure.

        lack of MP also hurts it, not like it has superb shooting mechanics but it would increase the replay value

          Why bother with MP if all the devs wanted to do was tell a story from beginning to end. It's not like I'll remember that game had MP and suddenly feel the need to replay the campaign.

          "Replay value" != multi-player

      I didn't know a damn thing about it and wrote it off as a shovelware console shooter. As part of the THQ pack I picked up earlier in the week, this game came with it. It looks great, sounds great and plays great. WTF marketing indeed.

        marketing was off, but I didn't get the impresison it was console shovelware. All I heard about it was it was graphically demanding, and very atmospheric, both of which I would expect from former STALKER devs. Then again, I didn't get that from the marketing. I guess I never really saw marketing
