Puzzle Agent Demo Released

Telltale Games has released a demo for its adventure game-tinged puzzler Puzzle Agent, a 182MB download found over on your friendly neighbourhood FileShack.

The first game in the Tales of Monkey Island dev's pilot program, the puzzle-centric game tells of a US Department of Puzzle Research investigation into the weird mid-Western town of Scoggins, where there's trouble at the President's eraser supplier.

Puzzle Agent was released for PC and Mac on July 1, available direct from Telltale for $9.95. iPhone, iPad and WiiWare releases are due to follow some time this month.

So now Telltale has taken to ripping off Professor Layton?
I don't think I've ever been disappointed in a company as much as Telltale.

Yeah, I hate companies that keep adventure gaming franchises alive.

I hate companies that keep adventure game franchises alive as weak shadows of their former incarnations.

ToMI, The new Sam & Max, Bone - all terrible games that couldn't live up to their source material, be it the original adventure games or in Bone's case (and S&M, somewhat), comics.
But hey, glad you can enjoy them.

ToMI was good. Not bad, not great. There is such a thing as "middle ground."

This is coming from someone whose favorite game all time is Monkey Island 2 (orig version 4 life.)

I didn't play the other telltale games.

Breathe deep. Calm down. I played through the whole game yesterday in one go. It's good. It's easy, but it has charm. I'd buy the next episode.

Agreed. Really liked the art style.
