Medal of Honor Beta Phase 2 Launches with More Invites; Xbox 360 Beta Still Not Out

6
Still want to try out the Medal of Honor beta, but do not want to pre-order the game? EA has launched the second phase of the beta with more invites going out to many EA Gun Club members on the PC and PS3. Invites were previously available to Gun Club members that already owned Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

The still delayed Xbox 360 beta for the game is still in development and will eventually launch, open to pre-order holders. EA will extend the Xbox 360 beta "to ensure Xbox 360 players have ample time to play and provide feedback for the final product."

"We would like to extend a gracious thank you to all of the PS3 and PC players for sharing their candid feedback on Medal of Honor and for pointing out areas of improvement. This is the beauty of a beta - your feedback will make the game better for everyone," said Greg Goodrich, Executive Producer of Medal of Honor. "Unfortunately, we have experienced a delay with the beta on the Xbox 360. To the Xbox 360 community, we say thank you for your patience. We are working to fix the issues that have caused this delay. We are eager to get the game up and running and look forward to receiving your constructive and candid feedback which will certainly help ensure the game exceeds expectations this Fall."

I look forward to the changes DICE will make based on this feedback, but hope there is enough time to incorporate major changes into the final product. I played the beta and was sadly not that impressed.

Would be interesting how much of that feedback was "f*ck this shovelware" and how they try to implement that into the game haha...

Mister Goodrich, in the view of an oldschool gamer , MoH looks like a complete f-up. Multiplattform Multiengine Multistudio development. Really a complete f-up no matter how you turn it.

They're not going back to the drawing board, any changes at this point will be micro-changes. They've said they plan on adding more recoil to weapons and toning down the "points" graphic when you get a kill.

The idea of having two studios work on separate parts of the game isn't the problem, it's the lack of originality in the design they've decided to go with.

Problem is not the multistudio part, but multiengine. Singleplayer and multilayer will feel like two diffrent games. Unrealengine is completly diffrent in look and feel compared to the frostbite engine.

And I'm sure they will pay the right folks to get positive reviews. I'm playing the Beta and honestly, it's terrible. Everything CoD did right they stole, reworked, and made worse. I'm not trying to be negative either, it just is hard to really be happy with something that is below the current bar yet tries to act like it isnt.
