QuakeCon 2010 Registration, Hotel Reservation Details

9
id Software and its fellow ZeniMax Media subsidiary Bethesda have announced details on registration and hotel reservation for id's annual celebration of fragging, QuakeCon.

QuakeCon's venue of the Hilton Anataloe in Dallas, Texas--which hosted QuakeCon from 2006 to 2008--is now accepting reservations for a limited number of discounted rooms, costing $154.00 per night for single, double, triple or quad occupancy rooms.

One change this year is that all QCon registration will be handled on-site, including the 'Bring Your Own Computer' LAN, thanks to "a new and improved registration process."

"Designed to reduce the time BYOC... attendees spend waiting to register equipment, and generally better serve all those in attendance," the announcement explains, "this new and entirely on-site process will streamline every guest's registration experience while still accommodating anyone that wants to take part in the BYOC."

The free event will run from August 12th at 9:00am until noon on Sunday, August 15. The Bethesda-published titles Brink, Fallout: New Vegas and Hunted: The Demon's Forge are confirmed as playable on the show floor, plus id's Rage will undoubtedly be there in some form. id has also promised it will reveal more on Doom 4.

I'm the most excited for any Doom 4 news. Hoping we at least get some teaser screen shots and hopefully video.

Honnestly I'd be surprised if we get any visuals.. We'll probably get some story tidbits, but that's it.

I think everyone is. Doom 4 will be the highlight for sure, but more indepth RAGE gameplay with story details and such will also be welcomed. I also imagine some stuff from Bethesda getting shown and playable on show floor.

Look like this year's con will be very full of events.

It'll be sad if Todd Hollenshead says "Doom 4?... maaaybe next year?" for two QuakeCons in a row.
