Xbox Live: Blacklight XBLA Release "Coming Soon", New Toy Soldiers and Worms 2 DLC Inbound
by Xav de Matos, Jun 29, 2010 9:59pm PDTAlthough Major Nelson has listed the online-only shooter Blacklight: Tango Down for a July 7 release on the Xbox Live Arcade, an Ignition spokesperson confirmed to Shacknews that title has "not received a release date" and can only confirm the game is "coming soon." Blacklight: Tango Down is priced at 1200 MS points ($15).
In case Blacklight: Tango Down does make the Major's date it will join the remade adventure classic Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge, as previously announced for 800 MS points ($10), as the July 7 offering on the Xbox Live Arcade. But that's not all the Xbox Live Marketplace has to offer users over the next two weeks
New downloadable content for the strategy and tower defense-hybrid XBLA title Toy Soldiers, along with new content for Worms 2: Armageddon is set to release over the next two weeks on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
On June 30, "The Kaiser's Battle" DLC for Toy Soldiers allows players to enter battle as the French Army, face-off against a new boss and earn 3 new achievements across new maps. The content is priced at 400 MS points ($5). On July 7, the "Worms 2: Armageddon Battle Pack" is available for 400 MS Points ($5) and adds new weapons, thirty new single-player missions, a "Survivor" mode, new achievements and more.
Earlier today, Major Nelson blogged that both Tomb Raider: Underworld and Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars had been added to the Xbox Live Games on Demand service, for those willing to sacrifice the hard drive space and bandwidth to purchase it digitally.
As previously reported, Puzzle Quest 2 is slated to hit the Xbox Live Marketplace on June 30 for 1200 MS points ($15 earth dollars) alongside Ancients of Ooga for 800 MS points ($5). Shacknews has contacted Microsoft for clarification on the Blacklight: Tango Down release date and has yet to hear back during the time of this publishing.
