Weapon customisation is the focus of a new developer diary for Zombie's Blacklight: Tango Down, revealing the multitude of options on offer in the downloadable shooter.

"About twenty-five different attributes" can be modified by customising guns with unlockable parts, from recoil and spread to reload and movement speed. There's also a "weapon tags" system of trinkets that grant small perks to the player.

Blacklight: Tango Down is due to be released this summer for download on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at $15. Zombie hopes to turn the near-future shooter into a large cross-medium franchise, having announced a movie and comic book too.

The game initially didn't look like a stand out to me, but the number of options that you are given for customization interests me. Hopefully we'll be able to see some of them in the demo.
