SoF, K7's, & Voyager
by Steve Gibson, Jul 27, 1999 6:24pm PDTLooks like the guys at Raven Software make .plan updates in packs. At any rate there are a few updates from the guys there that may interest ya. Firstly John Scott, programmer at Raven talks about the linux port, tools on the cd, and the voilence level in Soldier of Fortune. After that James Monroe over at Raven has gotten his hands on a AMD K7 600mhz and posted some Quake3 benchmarks using the K7 with a Voodoo3 board. Lastly Jremey Statz has a short blurb on Voyager progress. Here are some of those benchmarks on the K7. Not sure why these updates took so long to make their way to Fingershack.com, sorry about that.

I disagree.
Linux users are the backbone of the online gaming community. Most of the common servers you and I play on are run with Linux. What happens when a company doesn\'t release a client or server for linux? The game totally dies online. What happens when a company releases just a server and no client? Well... take a look around at previous posts from other Linux users. Sounds like they are kinda fed up to me.
Saying that users will give up their OS for a game is.. well.. take a guess.
