The E3 trailer for Crackdown creator Realtime Worlds' cops vs. robbers MMO APB has arrived in the form of a gameplay montage set to some chunky beats.

Due out for PC on June 29 in North America, APB has an unusual payment plan that lets players pay for blocks of play time if they don't fancy committing to a $9.99 month-long unlimited subscription. Realtime currently has no plans for microtransaction items, though it is looking at producing sizeable annual retail expansions.

A console version of APB is still planned but Realtime now says it "will make a different game that fits better for the system" rather than the straight port originally announced.

best part about this game is the customization. worse part is the physics. gta feels sooooo much better than this.

(IE, you cant shoot an npc in the face through their car window)... you shot them, they just stop driving and cower....they dont die. you have to take them out of the car and shoot them... wtf

Yeah, thats one of my biggest complaints. The city just feels dead or at least filled with robots. It seems like most of their development team was busy with customization that they neglected the rest of the game. Everything felt like it was barely in a beta stage.

jumping out of cars doesnt cause you to roll, you like just glitch out. lame
running people over doesnt always work, it pushes them to the side. lame
it can take multiple headshots to kill a person. lame
bullet/wall hit detection is wonky. ive been shot through wall corners ect. lame
you run the same 4 missions over and over again it seems, lame
when you join a team to help someone, as soon as its over they are no longer on your team. woulda been nice if you can continually just keep making your squad bigger and bigger.... it usually turns into a 3v3 with random people.

the voice acting is actually pretty good

Yeah...the horrible driving models in GTA 4 are better than APB. Very sad.
