Ubisoft has released an E3 trailer and batch of screenshots for Driver: San Francisco, which was officially unveiled yesterday.

Driver: San Fran, as all the 'Frisco folks will call it, offers "more than 200 kilometers of road network" to free-roam around on in "more than a hundred licensed vehicles" while listening to "over 60 music tracks with songs from famous artists."

Driver: San Francisco is headed to PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Mac in the fourth quarter of 2010, developed by Ubisoft Reflections. While Ubisoft has not mentioned a Wii version, the trailer does display the Wii logo; we've contacted Ubisoft for comment.

Usually publishers use a name to sell a game. In this case by connecting it to the original Driver are they trying not to sell it?
Your marketing team must be leaving soon Ubisoft.

The original game was great and the best.

Seconded. I'm still amazed at what they were able to pull off with the PS1...city-sized levels, heavy AI traffic, real-time damage, and (my favorite) runaway hubcaps.

Yes, the original was one of the best games for the PlayStation.
