Ubisoft Unveils Michael Jackson Game

A video game based upon the music and choreography of Michael Jackson's discography is being readied by Ubisoft, the company unveiled today.

"This game is going to be launched at the end of the year," noted Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, explaining that the game will teach the deceased legend's dance moves. "Look at these people and what they do, and think that with the technology that is available today, you will be able to learn how to be good as those guys or even better."


Few other details on the game itself were revealed, with on-stage dancers then performing a routine to "Beat It" while a screen displayed "Michael Jackson."

[Update] "The upcoming game will include the most famous tracks from Michael Jackson's extensive catalogue such as Beat It and Billie Jean, as well as an array of his awe-inspiring dance moves for players to learn and emulate within the game. Additionally, fans will be able to sing along and test their vocal skills while immersed in the performance," Ubisoft declared in a subsequent press release.

"The game will be available for Kinect for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 system with PlayStation Move support, PSP (PlayStation Portable) system, Nintendo's Wii system and Nintendo DS handheld."
