The King of Albion is dead, and he's left the great kingdom to one of his sons. The other son? Consigned to a life of destitution, and perchance, revolution.

The new trailer for Fable III from Lionhead and Microsoft Game Studios, showcasing a bunch of swordplay and sorcery, teases the story. Those looking for some more info about the game's optional Kinect functionality will need to do so elsewhere.

Fable III is due out on Xbox 360 and PC on October 26.

Well I wanted to like it, I played both the first and the second to the end, but still there is something wrong about them. Personally I feel a game like these has to be open world ala GTA or RDR, and no crappy minigames or fart tracking. Also no world map in the second one ?? wtf ?
As is, they lack coherency and feel shallow, even with the fancy romancing and fart tracking stats.

I agree. The Fable games are way way too easy and very shallow. The story is good enough for a video game RPG, though. I wish the game was slightly more loot oriented and had more depth to combat.

Fable 2 was pretty fun all the way through, but just way way too easy.
