EA Sports Active 2 Announced for Xbox 360 with Kinect; Dated for All Platforms

Electronic Arts has formally announced EA Sports Active 2 for the Xbox 360 including support for Kinect, Microsoft's recently renamed motion control system.

The game will utilize heart-rate monitors and wireless peripherals to allow for a greater freedom of movement and allows for real weights to be incorporated into the guided workout activities. With Kinect, the full body is tracked, not just the arms and legs as in the Wii and PS3 versions.

Additionally, the game will be going online, uploading workout details to the EA Sports Active 2 website. Gamers can then compare workouts between friends and groups.

EA Sports Active 2 will be released on all three platforms on November 16. Kinect will be released in the US on November 4.
