Crysis 2, Crytek's follow-up to its PC only first-person shooter, will be playable in stereoscopic 3D on all three platforms when it is released late this year. Exact requirements are not known, but video footage was shown at Electronic Arts' E3 press conference using simple glasses.

Crysis 2 takes place in New York City and Cevat Yerli, CEO and president of Crytek promises that the game will "have the most intelligent enemies ever in any first-person shooter."

The game is in development for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 and is set to be released this holiday season.

I'm not sure what part of America has Fall starting in August.

The problem here is that the article says "fall" and "holiday season". I guess with Christmas season starting earlier every year, September might as well be the start of the holiday season...

Occasionally I've heard people refer to late August as fall, but this is mostly due to school starting then...I think I mentioned it as occasionally being labeled as such in my post...but yeah its not within the scientific span of Fall/Autumn technically. Hell part of September is in fucking Summer dammit!

I just think of the release season as northern hemisphere 'fourths'. Fall is the last four months, winter is the first four, spring and summer are the next eight months respectively.

so 4+4+8=16. Last I check, there's only 12 months in a year but I could be wrong.

I think its from the Autumnal Equinox (Sept 23?) to Winter Solstice (Dec 21?)...but thats the scientific (astronomy) definition...I think the more cultural definition is September to November or December (sometimes incorporating part of August in lieu of late November or December). Its the rainy season here in West Virginia it follows the stormy with rain and occasional blue sky season...and preceeds the snowy season...after which is the allergy and rain season.

Or given that you are Australian...it would be Spring for you or thereabouts.
