Dead Rising 2 Vows to 'Bring Sexy Back' With Playboy

Digital renditions of Playboy magazine's saline-swollen busts will feature in Blue Castle's zombie apocalypse game Dead Rising 2, publisher Capcom has announced.

Fortune City will be plastered with ad and billboard images from across the skin rag's history while "a unique and special upgrade" can be had by finding a Playboy magazine in-game--magazines replacing the original Dead Rising's books as a perks system.

Capcom neglected to include screenshots of the articles.

"The Sin City-type environment in Dead Rising 2, Fortune City, is a natural playground for the Playboy Bunnies," explained Capcom senior director of licensing Seon King in the announcement. "We have integrated the Playboy brand throughout the game in ways that bring even more life to Fortune City and add to the user experience."

Metal Gear Solid 4 replaced the stealth series' generic girly magazines with copies of Playboy, while Mafia II features over fifty Playboy covers and centrefolds to collect, which will apparently "bring sophistication and classic imagery" to 2K Czech's mob tale.

Dead Rising 2 hacks its way onto PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on August 31 in North America, cutting into Europe on September 3. A "downloadable prologue" titled Case Zero will be available exclusively on Xbox 360 at some point before release.
