FIFA Soccer 11 Announced for Fall

8
The annual instalment of EA's FIFA football--"soccer," to some--series will once again be released in the traditional fall slot, the developer and publisher announced today.

EA claims that FIFA Soccer 11 "reinvents player authenticity" with a feature dubbed "Personality+," which uses "a database that evaluates and grades each player's skill-set over 36 attributes and 57 traits" collated by 1700 footie fans worldwide.

Personality+ will recreate a player's distinctive play style, EA claims, meaning that "Real Madrid's Kaka will deliver crisp, creative passes" while "Manchester United's Wayne Rooney will hold off defenders and strike shots from distance with pace."

There's also the annual update to the passing mechanics, with a "Pro Passing" system "where pass accuracy is determined by a gamer's ability on the control pad, and player skill, situation and urgency on the pitch, yielding a deeply rewarding passing system."

Developed by series veteran EA Canada, FIFA Soccer 11 is scheduled for release on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PS2, Wii, DS and PSP this fall.

I wouldn't have high hopes for that, they just hate that platform for some reason

Europe is the largest high end PC gamer market, namely UK and Germany. If anything EA must be aiming this at the south American market.

Have you played FIFA online? It's in open beta and available to everyone afaik. I don't know a whole lot about soccer games, but I have been playing it and enjoying it.
