Elemental Gameplay Footage Explains War of Magic
by Alice O'Connor, Jun 04, 2010 5:47am PDTGalactic Civilizations II developer Stardock has delivered a bumper crop of media from its PC '4X' turn-based strategy Elemental: War of Magic, with a new batch of screenshots and twenty-five minutes of gameplay footage narrated by Stardock CEO Brad Wardell.
Topics covered include character creation, armies and battles, research, building cities and sacrificing your precious essence.
Stardock estimates an "approximate release date" of September 1, 2010, for Elemental: War of Magic. Pre-ordering will net you access to the beta test.

"I must say I personally... don't know how to make steel."
I want to want to buy this game, but there are so many other games coming that I am without a doubt buying I'm not ready to pay for something I can't try out. I like the premise and idea of Elemental, but I think I'm going to need a demo with a polished tutorial (like civ 4's built in tutorial) before handing over my cash.
And that video was kind of hard for me to follow. He should record the gameplay, and then go back over the recorded video and add scripted commentary so what he is saying is more cohesive and is easier to follow along.
