The free "Outlaws To The End Co-Op Mission Pack" downloadable content add-on for Rockstar's recently-released open-world western Red Dead Redemption will hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 22, the developer announced today .

"Up to four players can team up together online to experience these thrilling new missions, full of intense shoot-outs and strategic cooperative play," the company said, promising "six brand-new co-op missions... new co-op challenges, bonus multiplayer XP rewards, and extra opportunities to unlock additional Achievements and Trophies."

Rockstar previously promised "two additional downloadable content updates for release later this summer" and recently teased that "there will definitely be more DLC packs to follow [after 'Outlaws to the End'], later this summer and into the fall... we'll be announcing info including release time frames and pricing on those in the coming months," today adding that the additional download content "will further expand the exciting possibilities that Red Dead Redemption multiplayer offers."

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.
