The "first in-game assets" of Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 have arrived from Konami, providing a peek at "the most radical revamp in [Pro Evolution Soccer] history."

Among the "advanced set of improved gameplay additions" made to this year's iteration--due on PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and PSP--is a new power bar that lets players "determine the exact strength and placement of every pass and shot," said to let balls "be spread absolutely anywhere with surgical precision."

Wow ! It goes without saying that the sense of movement will be largely improved as well as overall animation in transition sequences. I hope they improve game engine too. Konami should use the power of PC graphic cards. The use of tesselation applied in the audience would really improve the ambience or the use of Physx or OpenCL to improve physics not only of the ball but also the grass or the jerseys of the players.
