Ubisoft Confirms Beyond Good & Evil 2 Still in Development

7
Following rumors late last week that Beyond Good & Evil and Rayman creator Michel Ancel had left Ubisoft and that Beyond Good & Evil 2 was put on hold. The company has confirmed that Ancel is still with the company.

Additionally, Ubisoft has confirmed that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development, though no additional details about the game were revealed at this time. The sequel was announced two years ago, but we have heard nothing on the project in a long time.

Hopefully, we'll hear something from Ubisoft and Ancel regarding the project at E3 2010.

This is the second time that Ubisoft has had to disprove rumors that BG&E2 has been canceled.

When Ubisoft cancels the game, if they cancel it, I'm sure they'll let us know.

People need to just chill the fuck out.

Isn't this pretty typical for Ubisoft though?

Other than their huge, huge titles, Ubisoft is fairly quiet on games they're developing.

yeah but episode 3 is a planned sequel to a highly successful (commercially and critically) and long running franchise.

BGE2 is a sequel to a single commercially unsuccessful game that has a relatively small following.

We are right to worry about its fate, far bigger games have simply vanished into smoke when we weren't looking.
