Modern Warfare 2 'Resurgence' DLC Trailer
by Chris Faylor, May 29, 2010 11:00am PDTAs the second batch of downloadable content for Modern Warfare 2 is due to hit Xbox 360 this Thursday, June 3, maker Infinity Ward and Microsoft have released a trailer examining the five multiplayer maps that comprise the "Resurgence Pack" add-on.
Of those five maps, three--Carnival, Fuel and Trailer Park--are all new, while the remaining two--Vacant and Strike--are returning from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Priced at 1200 Microsoft Points / $15--a price that Infinity Ward owner Activision says "has still provided a fantastic value to gamers"--the "Resurgence Pack" is due on PC and PlayStation 3 at a later unspecified date. For reference, the game's first downloadable add-on hit Xbox 360 on March 30 then followed in PC and PlayStation 3 form on May 4.

$15 for 3 maps, and two from the last one just isn't worth it. Morons will buy it though, and MW3 will be $20.
They are testing you to see how expensive they can make it before their sales suffer. It's called 'seeing what the market will bear' - once the sales numbers fall, they back off the price by $5 and you think you're getting a deal.

Vacant, Bloc, and three cookie-cutter maps. $15. : the archvile
Not a bad guess; I figured they'd pick Vacant, but I guess they didn't like Bloc as much as they did Strike.
