Weekend Confirmed Episode 10
by Garnett Lee, May 28, 2010 7:00pm PDTKillzone 3 had its first showing and Garnett got to play it along with this week's guest, former 1UP Yours man on the wheels of steel Andrew Pfister from G4TV.com. Brian continues to love Red Dead Redemption while Jeff spent his week with Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands and that's only part of what's in Whatcha' Been Playin? Something new has been added before the Warning in the third segment with audience comments from last week's show. Up this time, response to the discussion of maturity in games. Brian wraps the show up on a roll with a Front Page filled with everything from the departure of two big Microsoft Entertainment division execs to rumors of a $149 price for the Xbox 360 motion sensing add-on, Natal.

Comments
Thank you.
Both to Weekend Confirmed and to the people posting here, it feels like I found the secret grove where all the other adults who game have been hiding out. Can't tell you how relieved I am to get here.
The terrific humor, opinion and insight on the podcast is a relief and appointment listening for me each week.
The comments here making their intelligent, well reasoned points absent the usual raft of one line entries consisting of nothing but profanities and accusations of other people posting all being gay, are a genuine breath of fresh posting.
That's when you can parse what was attempted to be written at all. It's easy to confuse a lot of those sort of posts for some type of ancient ritual incantation, not just horribly misspelled F bombs and attempts to call everyone else's mother a whore.
So thank you for letting me in here to hang with you all. I really appreciate the company.
"And yes, Timmy, grownups do play vidja games, too. In some cases, longer than you've been alive. Now get away from the keyboard and go outside and play!"

It's a forum run by Tom Chick, who is a pretty prolific freelancer and who also runs the Fidgit blog. I think you'll like what you find there. Tom periodically admits whole groups of folks to the community, but until you're admitted you can only lurk. You can also email Tom to seek admission. I'm not sure if telling him MSUSteve sent you would help or hurt though. :-p
