Aliens vs. Predator DirectX 11 Benchmark Released

Rebellion has released a swish standalone DirectX 11 PC benchmark test based upon its shooter Aliens vs. Predator, available in a 303MB download from FileShack.

The benchmark test requires a graphics support supporting DirectX 11 bells and whistles, which are used to produce such fancy features as tessellation, advanced shadow sampling and DX11 anti-aliasing. After showing a cinematic of xenomorphs on the prowl, it'll tell you your average FPS for boasting purposes. Handy, that, no?

Aliens vs. Predator was released for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on February 16.

  Is it that bad? Well, it's based off a movie. Movie to games and games to movies are never that great. Why is that?

    It's based off an earlier game, which was based off a comic book, which was based off a novel, which was based off the trophy-room scene in Predator 2.
    
    AvP movies don't count for jack squat.
    It was fun to watch them fight, but the stories were worthless.

  What a load of bull. I bought the game at 33 euro on Steam and the singleplayer portion alone is very well worth that much.

    i agree, i played the hell out of the game. granted, i dont play multiplayer games, so if someone bought it primarily for that, well... id have no frame of reference...

      I really enjoyed the MP in the demo. It was simplistic, but deep in atmosphere which, in turn, made it mad fun. (imo)
      
      Or maybe i just loved sprinting around on walls and upside down.

  I think you're wrong. This game has some really awesome sections to it and the MP is quite intense. I'd say this game is worth Â£20-25 in my humble opinion. People overreact due to the demo, which wasn't great. The full game is much better, trust me. If you see this game in a sale, its definitely worth the cash, if you're a fan of the films!

    Im gonna go ahead and agree, although i still have yet to play the actual game. I enjoyed the demo, so if its better than the demo its gonna be half ass decent anyway.

  Seconded, I bought this on release day (PC) and was not happy with it, (R.I.P. Rebellion) most of my complaints come from how bug filled it was, campaign was also very short. I haven't touched this game again since I beat it.
