League of Legends Coming to Mac
by Chris Faylor, May 27, 2010 3:00pm PDTRiot Games' free-to-play Defense of the Ancients-esque strategy game League of Legends (PC) will be expanding to Mac this summer thanks to TransGaming Inc.
The Mac version will be powered by TransGaming's Cider Portability Engine. "Artwork, graphics, in-game items and controls will remain the same in the Mac version," the companies say, adding that "the Mac version of League of Legends will feature the same update and release schedule as its PC counterpart" and "all Mac users will be able to mingle freely with their fellow League of Legends players on PC. "
As with most free-to-play games, League of Legends utilizes an online store to sell additional in-game items and access to certain characters. Those that opt not to pay, meanwhile, have access to an ever-rotating selection of ten characters.
Chatty: Diablo III, Dragon's Dogma
FileShack: Unity of Command, Skyjacker

The first post by RiotChris gives you the DL links to the beta client and Adobe Air, which is needed to run the game.
I'm playing it on my Mac and I haven't had any major problems with it. I'm actually very impressed with the current Mac version; I was expecting it to be a lot worse.

False.
The ones that opt not to pay, can use the rotationg selection of 10 characters AND they can Get the heroes they want by just buying then with the points you earn by playing.
And they DONT sell items, they sell skins and, well, you can get heroes by paying, but as i said, you can get heroes by just playing.
