Those looking to buy 2K Czech's old-timey open-world mobster game Mafia II now have several additional purchasing options, as publisher 2K Games today unveiled a "Mafia II Collector's Edition" along with some retailer-specific pre-order bonuses.

A specific price for the Collector's Edition wasn't mentioned in today's announcement, though retailer listings indicate that it commands a $20 premium over the regular edition, making the Mafia II Collector's Edition $79.99 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and $69.99 on PC in North America.

According to 2K, the Collector's Edition will be "available in limited quantities across select North American retailers and internationally," packing the game plus:

How many god-damn DLC packs will it have if you already have 5 before the game is even shipped? Fuck this pre-order bullshit and fuck paid DLC.

I couldn't agree more. If you're going to be a jerk and make launch day DLC, at least don't be a dick and make it so not everyone can get it.

Agreed with the general sentiments here actually. Whats with the different preorder bonuses and DLC packs BS? Why not give gamers all of those? At least sell the extra as part of a bonus package DLC or something. Collector's edition I can still understand, but this preorder crap and nickel and diming really needs to stop. Damn it.

calm down Clarice, it's just some fucking cars and suits for the main character, they're basically just visual shit. and if you want to complain about pre-order DLC, go bitch to retailers since they're the reason for it. they will more or less refuse to sell a game for pre-order these days unless it's got some kind of digital pack-in that's exclusive to their company.
