Evening Reading

I guess I wasted a lot of time watching LOST over the years. That was awful. As a self-contained episode of a TV show, it was wonderfully put together. As a series finale, it answered a few questions I didn't care about.

So many mysteries left unanswered. The filler content introduced in seasons 2 and 3 was the show's downfall for me as none of it mattered in the end, but it introduced so many questions in the mythology.

Still, it's better than ending with a menacing shot of a cute Japanese robot.

Holy shit... So this Legend of the Seeker show came first? Because, Spartacus B&S has literally a dozen main actors from this Legend of the Seeker show.

Every episode is like, what the fuck it's XYZ from Spartacus.

Was Spartacus shot in NZ? Maybe that explains it.

I believe that Spartacus was shot in NZ. At the very least, there are a lot of actors with Kiwi accents in it!

Yes it is! The main guy is also Australian. Legend of the Seeker is so damn silly and that white robe girl looks like a boy.

Ug, the entire idea of this show kills me. The books are... it has no relation to the books which are so significantly better it is physically painful to watch.

I love the books, but I also enjoy the show. It's often quite corny, but I enjoy this other take of the characters.

Wish they would make more. :(

If TG hadn't turned his last few novels into rambling nonsense I might have finished reading the series.

The last few are actually some of the better ones, IMO.

I never saw Xena or Hercules, but I think TV has to be in 43 minute portions, so it's no real surprise when they have to resort to 'Along main plot point X to Y, the hero has to pull into a town and be tricked by a woman or child into doing something bad that he must fix before he leaves' traditional serial adventure.

Unless HBO is doing it, no broadcaster can risk a 'and in this episode nothing physical happens, but the wizard talks about some really cool shit for 40 pages'.

I dunno, never read the series, but that Tabrett WTF name is that Bethell chick is hhhhhhooooootttt.

You should read the books, they're way better than the show.

I've only read one fantasy novel in my whole life and fell in love with one of the relationships described in it, but then found out it was Val Kilmer.
