Tower Defense 'Revenge of the Titans' Demo Lands

Those attacking are failed clones of the guy from splinter cell xD.

Well, beeing a big fan of Defense Grid which I've passed multiple times and have it on PC and 360 I snagged this one up to try. I dunno, it didn't grab me, too rough around the edges. Graphics suck, I'm not a big fan of retro graphics looks with big blocky hard to read texts characters, ect where a lot of indie devs seem to be moving right now. Second, aliens are just tiny icons moving through the screen and in the midst of mayhem they're hard to figure out which is which. They need more detail, animations, and variety to make them all stand out. One other thing I didn't like was how they gave you very little time to set up your base, you get virtually no time to familiarise youself with the base before they start swarming you, where in defense grid the game would stay paused until you placed a first tower and then give you another 10 seconds or so before aliends came out. Mouse ended up too fast and I couldn't get to options when playing, you need to quit game and then change mouse speed from main menu.

There's also a pretty complex (for first look) research tree similar to what they do in RTS/RPG games where you can advance certain technologies if you got the cash and upgrade your weapons. It seemed pretty deep and I think it will probably add replayability where you could try taking a game and your tech skills in different direction next time you play, assuming you don't max everything out by the time you're done with the game.

This game won't beat Defense Grid but I think if they polish it up more, add more detail to aliens to make them stand out, and bring my view closer to battle field so everything doesn't look so small it will have potential. And get rid of blocky graphics and text.

I'll give it another shot later today now that I'm more familiar with it and know what I'm doing.

it seems like a decent TD game. the only issue I have is if the player goes up the wrong upgrade path they are screwed in later levels if they don't have the right combination of upgrades. i had to go back several levels to have an upgrade tree that actually worked

wow awesome game. just played 3 hours of it. I love the upgrade system, the gameplay is superb. The last TD game to grab me was Monsters. This is awesome.

Love the graphics, the sounds... everything! I just wish there was an overworld or a tech tree so you could keep track of things. Now it feels like you'll lose everything if you quit :\

fun game but don't try to play it in the traditional tower defense because your towers can be damaged. i found clumping my weapons up and making a slosh pit of steel and concrete bags work the best

Anyone having an issue installing this demo?

Great little RTS/TD game. I played through about 10 missions. A+
