Mass Effect 2 DLC To Lead Into Mass Effect 3
by Alice O'Connor, May 21, 2010 6:20am PDTNew downloadable content will bridge the story gap between Mass Effect 2 and the RPG trilogy's conclusion in Mass Effect 3, developer BioWare has told VideoGamer.
"For the time being there's going to be a continued stream of DLC for people. We'll start to have packs that'll tell the story between Mass Effect 2 and 3," lead producer Casey Hudson told the site. "But beyond that we kind of have to see how people are responding to what we have and go from there."
BioWare has already released Mass Effect 2 DLC ranging from new party members and extra items for star Shepard to cosmetic alternative outfits for his chums--some paid and others for free via the Cerberus Network. The next release will be the $7 'Overlord' mission in June, which will reportedly keep you busy for two and a half hours.
While there's no word yet on when Mass Effect 3 will be released, EA COO John Schappert has stated that "something far-reaching from Mass Effect," is scheduled for release between January 1 and March 31, 2011. However, this could well be related to BioWare's promise that "there will be more Mass Effect in the future" other than ME 3.

I'll buy this DC almost for sure if it says in that $7 range, for a great bridge the gap sort of expansion I could also see $10-15.

Mass Effect 2 is my favorite game of all time, but the fact they don't (or haven't) yet don't a "DLC discount pack" to buy it all frustrates me. I want to get it all, but that's a lot of money for a short amount of content here and there.
I really hope they put out a DLC Pack for this that lets you get all the DLC up until this point for a fair price.
