A new F.E.A.R. 3 trailer has metaphorically kicked the door in and booted us in the face with a mix of live-action and gameplay footage promoting the horror shooter sequel.

F.E.A.R. console port developer Day 1 Studios is behind the game, with 30 Days of Night and Simon Dark comics writer Steve Niles co-writing the script and The Thing director John Carpenter lending Day 1 "his expertise in crafting the in-game cinematics."

Boasting "divergent co-op, an evolved cover system, and more scares," F.E.A.R. 3 is scheduled for release on hit PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall.

Why not? At least someone decided to do SOMETHING different than all the boring as piss trailers that we see nowadays.

agreed. Kinda gave me a glimpse of the idea of what 'real' graphics are striving for, and that we are still a ways off.

I'm just glad it wasn't a "developer trailer" with them telling me why it's a cool game.

Warner Bros. Owns the FEAR IP, so they thought it would be cool to make Hollywood-movie-style cinematics.

Because making a game that has as much gameplay variety and replayability as a movie storyline wasn't lucrative enough.
