Dragon Quest 9 Coming to USA in July
by Alice O'Connor, May 19, 2010 7:00am PDTDragon Quest IX will finally be released in the USA exactly one year after the DS RPG came out in Japan, North American publisher Nintendo announced today, on July 11.
The latest in the long-running JRPG series features co-op play via local wireless for up to four players. Players craving any human contact can also set their game to 'Tag Mode' before slipping it into their satchel and venturing into the scary wide world, automatically transmitting greetings, treasure maps and character information to others in Tag Mode.
Dragon Quest IX sold 4.26 million copies in Japan alone between between July 2009 and the end of March 2010, according to its Japanese publisher Square Enix.
