Modern Warfare 2 'Stimulus' DLC Breaks PSN Records
by Brian Leahy, May 18, 2010 11:00am PDTMuch like it broke the day one and week one sales records on the Xbox 360, it appears that the "Stimulus Package" DLC for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has become the fastest selling piece of downloadable content on the PlayStation 3.
Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling dropped the news via Twitter, saying that over one million users "helped the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package break day 1 & week 1 download records on PSN!"
It is not clear how many users grabbed the content in the first 24 hours or within the first week, but it has sold at least one million digital copies at $15 each.
On the Xbox 360, over one million users grabbed the pack in the first 24 hours with an additional 1.5 million snagging it in the first week. The "Stimulus Package" DLC includes five multiplayer maps, two of which come from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
A second DLC pack, the "Resurgence Pack", is on the way. It include another five maps (two from CoD4) and will be released first on the Xbox 360 for $15. PS3 and PC versions (via Steam) will follow, most likely one month after the June 3 Xbox 360 release date.

I hope Black Ops really takes off because Treyarch actually care about the community. They have already said there will be dedi servers in BO, as well as changing what we hated about MW2. They are forced to work in the past era, which makes for generally worse reception- but GO TREYARCH!
I seriously hope IW don't get back together and haha Vince- trying to tell PC gamers that dedi servers were bad and we SHOULD like this matchmaking laggy console shitz! And saying that anyone who disagreed were PC fanboys. hahaha- u got fired!

They will increase price until sales begin to drop, then keep it there. It's called seeing what the market will bear.
It's also called 'being taken for a ride'
