Bulletstorm Debut Trailer: Impaling, Incineration and Industrial Rock

"Time to break out the awesome," the first trailer for Painkiller creator People Can Fly's latest shooter declares, accompanied by Nine Inch Nails, as it launches into a display of violence every bit as gratuitous as one would expect from a game named Bulletstorm.

Created under the loving gaze of People Can Fly's owner, Gears of War developer Epic Games, Bulletstorm is slated for release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2011. Publisher EA Partners' schedule indicates that it should arrive no later than March 31.

Looks like it could be fun. Doesn't look any more mindless or ADHD than Quake or UT, which once-upon-a-time ruled the FPS genre.

Wow, I don't even know what to say except I have absolutely no interest in this game anymore. It's a complete 180 from Red Dead Redemption. I had no interest in that, but after watching the movies and learning about the multiplayer, I can't wait for next week. This just doesn't look fun at all.

"Time to break out the awesome"? Is this a joke? Also, what's with the popping up points? I can't help but feel like we are being made fun of and this is just a parody of games. If not, then well, I think this might be the most ADHD game ever! Honestly, im a lot loss for words. I mean, why bother? Did they go "let's set gaming back 10 years?"

I can't help but feel that this has a potential audience somewhere though. Many people don't seem to be able to sit still for more than a few seconds in games.

Don't know.....I was looking forward to seeing this thing in action, now that I have I'm even more on the fence. Maybe even a little disappointed. Thought in my mind it was going to be something different. I mean, how many shooters can you have Jesus H. Christ!
Well, back to reading for me, things are getting as stale as last years bread on the gaming market. At least there are SOME interesting titles trying to surface past all this noise.

I find it interesting how Doom/Quake's arsenal starting to be called generic from everyone copying them, but nowadays all we get are machine guns and perhaps a grenade attachment. Get creative again people.
