The second developer diary video for 2K Games' Mafia II has been released, exploring such interesting topics as gun fights, car chases, and melee combat.

Mafia II will be released on August 24 in the US and on the 27th elsewhere for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

So this game is basically GTA/Saint's Row? I never knew that... I am suddenly interested.

  The first one has in my opinion a better story than the GTAs. The game play is like GTA but way more realistic just like the video said. In the first one I always had to get pumped up to go and beat someone up or go in a gun fight for you new there was a good chance you die or be servilely hurt (like when a swat team goes and breaks down a door before the shit hits the fan).
  
  The game is high quality for sure I can not wait, in my top 5 wanted game list for me for sure.

      Well said, I agree totally, I just wonder what they have done since then and how pimp Mafia 2 will be?
      
      Aug... 2 months.. long time all well there is gona be a flood of games now anyways I will survive

  The first one was an open world game but not really a sandbox game, if that makes sense.

  PIck up the first one if you can, well worth it. I've had it since it came out 8 years ago.
