EA Teases 3D 'Marquee Title' for E3 2010

As the video game industry continues to experiment with three-dimensional displays and visuals, mega-publisher Electronic Arts has revealed that it will be showcasing a "marquee title in breathtaking 3D" at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

The revelation came as COO John Schappert was discussing the company's plans for the event in a conference call with investors. Officially, E3 2010 runs from June 15 - 17 in Los Angeles, California. As usual, several companies, including Sony, Microsoft and Electronic Arts, will be holding press conferences before the show kicks off proper.

Schappert offered no further details on the identity of the "marquee title," though there's a fair chance it's among the list of "key titles" EA plans to release by March 31, 2011.

E3 2010 will also see Electronic Arts and other companies demonstrate their motion-controlled games for the PlayStation 3's PlayStation Move and Xbox 360's Project Natal add-ons, while Nintendo is set to properly unveil the glasses-free three-dimensional visuals of its Nintendo 3DS hardware and games that use the Wii Vitality Sensor.

Awesome! A 3D title that virtually no one can play. Sounds amazing.
