'Pay What You Want' Indie Bundle Offer Extended as Sales Hit $1 Million, Source Code Released
by Alice O'Connor, May 12, 2010 6:26am PDTSales of the "pay what you want" Humble Indie Bundle have passed $1 million, leading the kind folks behind it all to extend the offer by four days and pledge to release the source code for bundle games Lugaru HD, Gish, Aquaria and Penumbra Overture.
The initial week-long Humble Indie Bundle sale raked in $1,112,815, with $344,450 going to Penny Arcade's charity Child's Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
The Humble Indie Bundle offers DRM-free Windows, Linux and Mac versions of World of Goo, Aquaria, Lugaru HD, Penumbra Overture, Samorost 2 and Gish for as much or as little as buyers fancy paying. The sale has been extended until 4pm EDT on May 15.
The source code for Lugaru HD is already available and the rest are soon to follow.
