Morning Discussion

EVE Online's trial proved pleasing enough that I signed up for a one-month subscription. If it doesn't hold my interest beyond then, I'll simply have paid $20 to play a game for six weeks and I've happily paid more than that for games I played for far shorter periods.

What got me to fork out my hard-earned dough is the fact that I could transition directly from a free trial to a subscription without buying the full game. I've yet to play an MMO I feel would hold my interest for long but I enjoy poking around them, exploring the world and getting a good feel for it and think I would subscribe to many MMOs for a month or two if I didn't have to buy the game too. Oh well.

Everyone relax. I have it on good authority that the work week is halfway over later today.

It's been a slow week too, so it can't come sooner. IS anyone else experiencing a slow week?

Yes, incredibly slow. There's usually 7 people in this room - 4 have moved to another floor, and 2 are travelling. So on the bright side I can do whatever the hell I want, but on the downside it's slow as hell and I have to visit other people for entertainment.

      i sure hope so.

started a summer gig (4 months) last monday the 3rd and they still don't have my permission and rights worked out (i.e. i cannot connect to the database from my account) so i've been doing very little for the past 1.5 weeks. hopefully fixed today!

^^ Though I didn't take Friday off, unfortunately. But no-one will be in the office so it should be pretty chill.

Same here. 3 hours to go and then it's a 4-day weekend.

I didn't have to take Friday off though, we got that off "for free" since the national day falls on a weekend this year. Yay!

Meetings. All day today. And tomorrow. And part of Friday. In the roughly 20 hours of work between now and freedom, I have 8 meetings, all of which are at least one hour, some up to two hours.

Yea. that's not including any of the six different projects I need to get finished before Friday, two of which I haven't started on. Always busy with something new.

Wednesdays are bittersweet for me - the weekend is just around the corner, but I have so much work to do and less time to do it in.
