Fallout and Fallout 2 composer Mark Morgan has released a remastered version of his soundtracks for the seminal RPGs, available free on FileShack or Aural Network.

The twenty-four tracks--sixteen from Fallout, plus the eight original tracks in Fallout 2--come in 320kbit MP3 format, remastered and mixed by Vladislav Isaev.

Morgan also composed the wonderful soundtrack for Planescape: Torment and is currently working on Astrum Nival's free-to-play MMORPG Allods Online with Isaev.

Fallout 2 recently received a remastering of its own in new versions of the fan-made updates the 'Unofficial Fallout 2 Patch 1.02+' and the 'Fallout 2 Restoration Project.'

Thanks to Thomas Beekers of No Mutants Allowed for the tip.

I can't believe that shit sounded like Oblivion, that's exactly what I thought and immediately dumped FO/FO2 music into it.

Bethesda probably thought it wasn't mainstream enough. Inon Zur is a good composer (see Dragon Age) but his style doesn't suit Fallout.
