EA and Playfish Working on FIFA Superstars for Facebook

3
Back in November, Electronic Arts purchased Playfish, a social network site game developer, for upwards of $300 million. The first project from the new business arrangement has been announced (via Joystiq) by EA Sports president Peter Moore:
Our FIFA products connect fans from all over the world who share a common passion for the sport, and soon our partnership with Playfish will allow us to bring the FIFA brand to the growing Facebook community with a new game called FIFA Superstars.

There are no additional details, but it is likely that we'll learn more around the beginning of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which kicks off on June 11th in South Africa.

Just in time for people to delete their Facebook accounts.

    Good timing.
