Having just blown out the multiplayer modes of Transformers: War for Cybertron in trailer form, publisher Activision is back with another robo-tastic trailer, this one examining the character customization and classes available to players of the robo-battler.

Developed by High Moon, Transformers: War for Cybertron hits PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 22--the same day the Wii gets Next Level's Transformers: Cybertron Adventures and the Nintendo DS receives both Transformers: War for Cybertron - Autobots and Transformers: War for Cybertron - Decepticons by Vicarious Visions.

This game looks like so much potential fun. But I've been deceived before. Whenever a middle of the road developer tries to make a very big time budget game, for some reason it never reaches the level of amazement the trailers and previews make it out to be. All it takes is for one tiny design flaw to make it through and it ruins the game.

I can almost guarantee this game will suffer from it, I don't know what it will be, but I know it will.

    Cases when this happened:

Fuel - Great big game world with crap racing.
AVP remake - Terrible control design/multiplayer

Fuel sucked, period. I didn't see any level of greatness coming from the game, and I like games of its type. AvP looked weak from the word go. It was all...."ooohh lookie, FATALITIES." They did look pretty gruesome, but they weren't winning with it.

However those flaws you mentioned were by no means small moons; they were space station-sized. Honestly, I'd say I'm not looking for some seriously deep multiplayer experience or anything. I'm just looking for a solid Transformers game. Been waitin' on one since TF:Armada, which was a great game considering its universe/show completely sucked balls.

...As long as it isn't anywhere near as bad as the movie-games, I'm good.
