LittleBigPlanet 2 Confirmed by Game Informer

The June issue of Game Informer, which will have a cover story about Gears of War 3, will also include an article on LittleBigPlanet 2, which has not yet been announced by Sony.

It has, however, previously been stated by Media Molecule that it was working on a sequel. Last month, a musician confirmed that one of his songs had been licensed for LittleBigPlanet 2.

No surprise here, but definitely cool to know that we'll be getting details on the sequel soon. The timing should also mean it will be shown at E3 2010 in June.

I will purchase this, as the first one rocked and they need support.

    Yes they do, the sales of the first one were quite slow and they deserve it.

      I think they were slow in that the game didn't explode off the shelf week 1. But, it had fantastic word of mouth and was continually supported from the devs with good DLC and the community with new levels. It had a nice, long slow burn at retail. I think overall it did quite fine.
