Final Fantasy 9 Coming Soon for PSN Re-Release

It's been known that a PlayStation Network re-release of Square's PlayStation One classic RPG Final Fantasy IX was coming, but now it's coming "soon" for North America.

The PlayStation blog reports that "If you missed Final Fantasy IX during the early PlayStation era, or are dreaming of reliving the time-tested FFIX adventure, your chance is coming soon."

The downloadable re-release will be playable on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. PlayStation Store updates now occur on the Tuesday of every week.

Was this one of the good Final Fantasies? I only played 7 on PS1 and most of X on the PS2 (as well as 1, 4, and 6 on NES / SNES).
