The publicly available Xbox 360 multiplayer beta for Bizarre Creations' action-racer Blur will shut down on Monday, May 10 at 2am PDT, publisher Activision has announced.

However, it's not all bad news, as the beta has once again been updated with:

  • The ability to play A-Class cars in standard playlists
  • An expanded Supercar Racing Playlist that include races in Tokyo and Amboy
  • Power-Ups now shuffle so each race has different Power-Up placement
  • Players can earn double the amount of fans for each race, allowing players to quickly reach Rank-15 and experience the full Beta demo experience

Though the multiplayer beta for Blur was exclusive to Xbox 360, the full game--due May 25 in North America and May 28 in Europe--is hitting PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

I haven't played this since lvl 10 was the max, but maybe I'll pop in this weekend to get to 15. The random powerups is a huge thing, and should make it a lot more interesting from one race to the next.
