Morning Discussion: How Make Computer/UK Work?

by Alice O'Connor, May 06, 2010 5:00am PDT

We apologise for our technical difficulties today. A thing wasn't doing the stuff it was supposed to but it's doing more good stuff and less bad stuff again for now, I think.

Today, though, is when the UK decides which third of 60% of the population feel a little more smug for the next five years--it's the general election! Eurogamer TV has rustled up an election special if you want to see what the parties make of video games.

If you can vote in the election, please do so. If you are not registered to vote, do register for the next election. If you're too young to vote, practice hurling obscenities at all the party leaders--it's a skill you'll put to good use when you're all growed up.

On the subject of competing, the amazing Shacknews community StarCraft II beta tournament continues with commentary from Shacker Blucklesworth, better known as Team Liquid's Chill. Featuring players of all abilities, it's rollicking good fun. You can watch the past games online on Blucklesworth's Livestream.

And speaking of good things, people interested in comics should download the free second edition of the wonderful Paper Science. I also forgot to mention earlier that Isy Suttie of Peep Show fame was on last week's episode of the lovely podcast Shift Run Stop. Your nice things for today.
