Dragon Age 'Darkspawn' DLC Detailed

Following through on yesterday's revelation of Dragon Age: Origins' downloadable "Darkspawn Chronicles" add-on, developer BioWare has issued some new details.

Priced at 400 Microsoft Points / 500 BioWare Points / $5, the add-on offers "a look at an alternate history," detailed what may have happened "if your character had died in the Joining ceremony, and the Grey Wardens marched under Alistair's command instead." In other words, "you now fight as the Darkspawn" with the "standalone adventure" being one "in which you command genlocks, hurlocks, shrieks, and even the mighty ogres."

All three platforms will be receiving the add-on, with PC and Xbox 360 owners getting it May 18 while the PlayStation 3 version will hit on a date "to be announced later."

Hm, an interseting take on things. I wonder how many hours of content this will be.

i'm curious about that as well. not because i'm going to bitch about dollars to hours ratio but because it seems interesting and would be awesome if it were a pretty decent sized campaign. seeing how it's 5 bucks i kind of doubt it.

Yeah... at least, they shouldn't make it about the loot this time. Though I didn't play Return to Ostagar, most of the reviews I read said that the best about the DLC was the loot... loot that you couldn't even use in Awakening, as far as I know. Hopefully they'll focus on some story/gameplay.
