Alpha Protocol Gone Gold, Gets New Trailer
by Chris Faylor, May 04, 2010 11:00am PDTInitially due in February 2009 before getting pushed to October 2009 and finally June 2010, Obsidian Entertainment's espionage-focused role-playing game Alpha Protocol has gone gold, meaning it's complete with discs now in the manufacturing process.
Publisher SEGA announced the milestone today, confirming that the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title will indeed be making its promised release date of May 28 for Europe and June 1 in North America, and also passed along a new trailer in the process:

If this is the best they have to show off the game, I'm definitely gonna wait for a price drop.

I'm looking forward to this, though admittedly I don't think it will sell well because of all the pew pew console players in today's marketplace that look at graphics first and gameplay/story come distant third. This should have been a PC only exclusive - would have faired far better if it was.
Hopefully Obsidian actually finished this game - unlike Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 (rushed ending written in 5 minutes - pretty much missing anything resembling an ending actually).
