"Strategic use of the bandana during crimes will help you lose your wanted level quickly," explains the company, which also offered a look at what might happen if you don't.
Coming from Rockstar San Diego, Red Dead Redemption is due to hit retailers in PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 form on May 18 in North America and May 21 elsewhere.
