Halo: Reach developer Bungie has released an extended version of the live-action trailer it premiered yesterday, hot on the heels of news that it will partner with video games leviathan Activision to bring its "next big action game universe to market."

Directed by Noam Murro, 'Birth of a Spartan' covers the process that turned the leader of Halo: Reach's squad 'Noble Team' into an alien rump-kicking Spartan super-soldier.

A multiplayer beta is due to run from May 3 to May 19, though if you're quick you might still be able to win a 'Friends & Family' early access key in our beta key giveaway. Halo: Reach is scheduled for release exclusively on Xbox 360 this fall, in several editions.
