Helping explain Madden NFL 11's "simpler, quicker, deeper" philosophy, publisher EA Sports has put out a pair of trailers discussing the changes made to this year's entry:

Crafted by the franchise veterans at EA Tiburon, Madden NFL 11 is due out on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP and iPhone come August 10, 2010.

The second trailer, which goes deeper on the simpler and quicker, follows below:

    I wonder if they bothered fixing the pop-in problem with their little cut scene type things (like showing the QB talking on the sideline). In Madden 10 you see the general features of the player's face, then a few seconds later the details show up. Pretty tacky looking.

      Or when playing in a closed stadium, the F-16 Thunderbirds sound would play and the camera would pan as though it were tracking the planes, even though you couldn't see them.
